Bob, you say that Pierce doesn't catch a ton of balls, but wouldn't that be because of the number of targets he gets? I'm pretty sure he'd catch more if he got more. The thing with the Colts receiving core is that there's just too much ball distribution for any one player to rise above the rest. It's much easier to become a receiving star on a team that doesn't have a lot of options, when you get the lion's share of targets.

As a stat nerd, I know that averages are susceptible to outliers. In this case, JT's 80-yard TD run definitely skewed the numbers to the positive. But even with that being taken out of the equation, their average only dropped from 9.1 to 4.9 per carry. 4.9 per carry is still pretty gaudy and it's a HUGE testament to the O line like you said Bob
