Bob, your pass defense grade was too generous. The pass rush did exist, but when you constantly leave the middle of the field wide open with linebackers covering receivers, it doesn’t really matter. Was Lou just Gus Bradley in disguise this whole time?
Agree with pretty much everything you've said Bob and that line about "they're paid a lot of money to play hard and to win" to me is the main reason that Ballard has to go. He has made a lot of really good decisions personnel wise. But he's missing the X factor pieces. Like Chappell said about Mo-Alie Cox: "he makes about 2 or 3 plays a year that you really notice". [If this isn't exactly what he said, it captures the spirit.] And Ballard just hasn't been good enough in key positions and in roster spots 45-53 year after year imo

Miss poor play calling. First down run call every time equals 1-2 yards. Then they run again for 1-2. Agreed Rivers is old but he can still throw short passes for 4-5 yards. No chance.

Whoever will be making the selections, the upcoming draft (which I know does not include a first round pick) needs to prioritize LB and Edge
