Why did Liam McNeeley de-commit from IU? We don't know exactly, but we know this: Woody's got some issues
Now Mike Woodson has to hit the transfer portal hard to fill out next year's roster. Good luck with that.
Apparently, the elephant in the room is invisible. How else do you explain why it took four questions from the media Friday to ask Mike Woodson about that big old elephant, Liam McNeeley, and the 5-star player’s decision Thursday to de-commit from IU. Woodward and Bernstein Hour, it was not.
But, then, Woodson wasn’t going to answer any of those questions. By the time he was asked about recruiting, he was having no part of the conversation.
“I’m not going to talk about recruiting with you guys; I’m just not..” Woodson said on a Zoom call Friday.
And that’s fine. He doesn’t owe us an explanation. He owes the fan base wins. Nothing more, nothing less.
But the mystery endures.
