While I unfortunately agree that mid-season firings never work, I think someone HAS to lose their jobs if for nothing more than a "We hear you" type of move

Sad weekend for Indiana football: IU , Notre Dame, and the Colts lost.

Yeah, Ballard and Steichen have worn out their welcome. I'm all in on Tony Dungy as Colts GM and Sean McDermott as Colts head coach!

After 34 years of being a season ticket holder, I left in the 2nd quarter of the opener against the Ravens and have not been back NOR will I ever. It’s a condescending environment created by the front office to media and fans alike. It’s been a longtime since anyone at the top has made astute decisions …. I’ll leave it at that.

Unfortunately Ballard bankrupted the franchise with his incompetence and the Sauce trade. What quality GM is taking the job without any capital? Maybe with a 7 year guaranteed contract. (For the record I'd take the job with a 4 year deal paid up front at only $3MM per). After the next 2 losses Carli needs to take a play out of her Dad's playbook and order AR be put on the field (under a new interim Head Coach since Steichen has no interest in using him). Find out if there is anything there which, if it works (long shot) might be the only thing that attracts a quality GM. P.S. They want my big check in 2 weeks for next years tickets! Sad days ahead....

I think people are already lining up for the Colts job, honestly. There are only 32 of these spots, even if the Sauce trade is looking like a loser.

I'll do it for $2.9 million per year with 4 years upfrint. Hey, I did play CYO football at least!

You’re hired.

I was at the game today….i didn’t BOO…I just sat there.

….i didn’t care anymore ….

I sat through the entire game. I had when the home team is boo'd but today it felt warranted. They have to hear it. And, I put my Miami tiks up for sale. I have better things to do on a Sunday than eat bad stadium food and watch terrible football. It is so tiring to be a Colts fan. The roof was open- let's all cheer for that.

Question - If Carli did want to trade Taylor and/or Buckner to "get back some draft capital for the next guy," who would she have do it? Ballard? Or is there someone else on the payroll she could have do it instead?

That's why I think you fire Ballard mid-season. But I don't know nothing and Bob clearly thinks that's a bad idea. I don't expect a mid-season during to improve our outlook for 2026. It's already lost. It's all about 2028 and on at this point. Maybe a miracle worker can salvage 2027. But again, I don't know nothing.

We have that in common lol. Just my opinion based on experience. I’ve never seen the interim thing work. Unless they can get Tomlin here immediately

I feel bad for the fans and the long time veteran leaders. Let Q, Buck and JT workout trades to go finish their career with a team that has a chance to do something.

Everytime Polian comes back for a Ring of Honor ceremony I can’t help but laugh at the fact he only really made one mistake. Didn’t have a good backup for Peyton. And that was the straw that broke the camel’s back and got him fired?! Good lord I miss Bill!

Speaking of, Carly needs to huddle with Bill, pay him whatever he wants and let him hire the next GM. Then Bill stays on as a consultant to the owner or whatever title he wants.

I quit caring. years ago. It's the same old song and dance. year after year after year. Nothing has ever improved since the Dungy era. It's been time to CLEAN HOUSE for years, yet here we are with the same problems, the same challenges, the same mistakes, oh yeah...and the same GM. The only way this organization is ever going to rebound is to hire a change-maker and that is not what the Colts have in Ballard or Steinchen. Ballard has ruined the franchise, and it's going to take some MAJOR action NOW to start making it better for the future. Bring back Dungy as the new GM and McDermott as the Head Coach. Oh, and season ticket holders...do yourself a favor and sell your tickets ASAP so you may break even. No more parking costs, no more crappy, overpriced stadium food, and no more DOLTS, I mean Colts.

Perhaps the season ticket holders should boycott a game.

I came home and put my Miami tiks up for sale (can't go to the Dallas game- but sure glad now I can't!
