I was messing around on X late Sunday night when I saw that the two top IU writers in town, the IndyStar’s Zach Osterman and Peegs.com’s Jeff Rabjohns, were both shooting down a report from The Athletic naming Jon Gruden as a long-shot candidate for the IU job.

Now, Zach and Jeff have good sources and I have absolutely zero doubt they’re right about Gruden’s candidacy, but it got me wondering:

Why WOULDN’T you have interest in a Super Bowl-winning coach who has Bloomington connections and desperately wants to return to the coaching game?
