A friend of mine got booted from the game last night for saying "you wear second rate cosmetics" to Jackie Young. She had him removed and people online are commenting, without knowing the details, that what he said was racist.
I have never seen a league get a tailwind like C Clark, and do everything possible to destroy their brand with political and cultural positions that shoot them in the foot. You want to be taken seriously, act like professionals and take the heat in a kitchen that got hotter, and more profitable in recent years.
I listen to Dan Patrick every day. The Commish, Cathy Engelbert, was supposed to join a couple of weeks ago when they were broadcasting in Tahoe. She was playing in a Pro Am nearby and cancelled 10 mins before she was scheduled to go on. Did not want to address the recent issue with Caitlin taking a fist to her neck by a lesbian player.

Really enjoyed your nuanced and informed take on the Cunningham issue, Bob. Although a correction: Coach Reeve didn't wear a 'Trans Lives Matter' shirt, but rather a 'Trans Kids Belong' shirt. I wonder how many of us are like me, who support the trans community but have real issue believing there are 'trans kids.' Seems like a life-altering decision that may be best-suited for when one's brain is fully developed, no?
As the uncle of a transgendered person, I gently ask you to ask the child. When my sister's youngest was a child, they knew they were different. They knew they were not what they were told they were, they just didn't have a name for it. I believe that the surgery should probably wait until they're adults, but they know. Trust them.
First, I realize that I am way late to this post. Second, I acknowledge that I am neither female nor trans.
Here's my question, why do female athletics exist separate from males? There is obviously a physical difference between the two or there would only be 1 version for each of these sports in which the best of the best would perform. Some women have tried to participate on the men's side over the decades, but nothing I am aware of that ever had prolonged success.
So while the situation does not currently exist in the WNBA, it has been a reality at lower levels of various athletic environments in recent years. So I understand why someone like Cunningham would express an opinion on the topic. I also understand why someone like Clark would not.
Based on what I shared at the start, obviously I am not directly affected by any of this. But as a neutral observer, I think I can understand certain parts of this. I mean no offense by this question, but I wonder why the populations that do not identify as their designated gender at birth haven't made a push for their own athletic endeavors? I realize it would come with vast challenges, but that has also been true of the entire timeline for women's athletics over the decades.
Title IX was designed to provide opportunities for girls in sports. Enes illustrating the absolute absurdity of this issue. 6’10 is not very “nuanced.”
