Jim Irsay said it was a hematoma. The Colts said it was a respiratory illness. The Carmel cops said it was a suspected OD...What's the truth?
Sorry, but I'm reading the latest from the Colts' owner, and I'm not believing a word. Somebody's not shooting straight here.
First, congrats to FOX-59’s Mike Chappell for the Jim Irsay scoop, the one where Irsay insists he didn’t suffer a drug overdose Dec. 8, 2023 but rather needed emergency treatment for a leg hematoma.
Second, I don’t believe a damn word the Colts’ owner said in the story. Not one. Which leads me to worry even more about his state of mind, and his ability to be the steward of this multi-billion-dollar football franchise.

Was it an OD, as the Carmel police were inclined to believe – and he acknowledges he’s had a number of them in his time – or was it a severe respiratory illness or a hematoma or none or the above? I’m confused.
As Irsay spends draft day Thursday-Saturday at home rather than being in the draft room at West 56th, my question is this: Can we get our stories straight?
