The defense is embarrassing. Everyone sees it. Everyone knows it.

Yeah, except the Colts, apparently. I remember Shane Steichen citing "continuity" as a prime consideration in bringing Bradley back for a 3rd year. Someone should explain to Steichen that continuity for good things, not bad things. A defensive scheme that allows 28th most points allowed in back-to-back seasons isn't the type of thing you want to continue.

For all Ballards perceived faults…he DID acquire decent O-line backups and the DBs (although not all pros) r NOT the dumpster fire people predicted.

It's sometimes hard to make concrete arguments against Ballard. He's find some extraordinary talents on a budget. He's find some great depth players.

But on the other hand, he blames last year's poor defense on our CB situation and then dues nothing to change the situation. It took him how many years to get a QB with actual potential? And he just isn't putting together a plan to win. At the end of the day, wins are all that matter.

I understand it takes a lot to win, but if he can't put together a winning team, then he needs to go. And that's the simpler and most powerful argument against him. I like the guy and am in awe at some of his amazing draft picks, but that doesn't matter if we keep being a crappy team.

What is surprising, there isn't that much parity in the AFC this year. We are 8th with Denver either 2 games or 1 game ahead of us after tonight. We win in Denver in 2 weeks, we have legitimate chance of getting that final spot. Bengals effectively fell out yesterday. Miami is the only other contender for last spot. Beat Bronco's we'd have tie breaker with them and Dolphins. Big IF, but beat them and the last 3 we should be favored. GO COLTS! 10 - 16 effectively played themselves already out of playoffs. Usually going into final week there are 5-6 teams playing for 2 spots.
