End Zone kept getting in the way. Super Bowl year in Jax, where MJD and Fred Taylor went buck wild. 375 on the ground and a whole lot more in punt and kick returns.
I got absolutely torched by the home team fans walking out, mid 4th quarter.
I feel like an aggrieved parent at a PTA meeting, but a 'B' for run offense?! What will it take to get that grade up?! A backflip into the end-zone?! Jokes aside, solid analysis and writing as always.
I’ll never get tired of the report card Bob, it’ll always be my favorite. Related note, we all know Mitchell found himself in the doghouse due to the Rams game debacle. Is he still in the doghouse because of something else going on behind the scenes? Just curious to see if you’ve heard anything.
"...the end zone kept getting in the way." I thought that was a great line the first time you used it. (Which I believe was the game Derrick Henry slashed us years ago). It's still a great line! Keep pounding the keyboard Bob!!
Bob, loved this dopey report card ever since the Indy star days. The only take I’d disagree with here is the notion that Gould’s offensive snap share is attributed to the coaching staff’s perspective on AD Mitchell’s status. I tend to think that Gould is the backup slot receiver behind Downs and that would explain his heavier snap count.
I think I’d give coaching a B+ due to the very puzzling way Steichen handled the Colts last possession before the end of the first half.
They squandered precious seconds that they could’ve used to score a touchdown instead of a field goal. It seems like every other game Steichen does something head scratching.
Show me an All Pro RB or QB, and I'll show you a great offensive line. Colts have both and those guys on the OL are the true MVPs!!!

What's a guy gotta do to earn an "A"? I'm talking JT and the run offense.

I'll correct myself - it was MJD. Close!

I agree with you 100%. It's a great time be an Indiana sports fan.
I worry a little bit that Kenny Moore will try to come back too soon and rupture that Achilles. We need him!

Thanks for ALWAYS
getting to the point.
