Bring back Pittman, Minshew and yes, Bradley

Pitt is a no-brainer; an expensive no-brainer, but a no-brainer nonetheless. Minshew is too valuable to lose as an insurance policy. And Bradley sounds like he's returning. Good.

First things first: Michael Pittman is going nowhere.

Oh, he may take off and visit Jamaica this offseason or somewhere similarly warm and tropical, but when it comes to his future employment with the Indianapolis Colts, the best receiver to grace this franchise since T.Y. Hilton is going nowhere.

Let’s put it this way: If he doesn’t come back, Chris Ballard should pack up, too. Maybe they can get a deal on a moving company, a two-for-one. Four Men and a Truck.

It would be the height of irresponsibility not to take care of Pittman, who finished this season with 109 catches (fifth in the league) for 1152 yards (14th in the league). And, as you may have noticed, Pittman hasn’t exactly put up those numbers while playing with Peyton Manning. In his three years in Indianapolis, he’s caught passes from  Carson Wentz, Matt Ryan, Sam Ehlinger, Nick Foles and Minshew.

‘Nuff said.

“He was big for us,” Shane Steichen said. “What he did week in and week out, the numbers he put up, the consistency he played with, the toughness that he played with – I’ve got a ton of respect for him as a football player. He’s meant a lot to this organization and a lot to this city.”

Imagine, just imagine, what he’ll be able to do with his first-ever strong-armed quarterback, specifically Anthony Richardson. How about Richardson at QB, Jonathan Taylor at RB and Pittman at WR? Does that sound like any fun?

Michael Pittman Jr. #11 of the Indianapolis Colts catches a pass during the fourth quarter against the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium on January...

I’m not telling you he’s Justin Jefferson or Ja’Marr Chase, but I am telling you he’s an unquestioned No. 1 wide receiver, something he’s shown the last two years and this year specifically. No, he doesn’t take the top off a defense, but he’s every quarterback’s security blanket, sure-handed, tough-as-a-$3-steak, willing to take on tacklers and a fine blocker. Who did Reggie Wayne compare him to? Hines Ward. I’ll take Hines Ward on my team every day, all day. You win titles with guys like that.
