The Colts did almost everything they needed to do to upset the Kansas City Chiefs. But again, they came up short. Because the Colts, losers of nine straight, are the Colts.
My thoughts exactly on the overtime possession. Go for the touchdown and not worry about giving KC too much time on the clock. Two timeouts and the two minute warning take that option off the table. Make them need a TD to win rather than a field goal. Poorly thought out strategy.
Stinkin’ Steichen & Blatant Ballard have to go…Just Hire Mike Tomlin & finally WE WILL HAVE A DEFENSE that will give the Offense an excellent opportunity to win consistently…it’s not hard
They're still doing AMAZING in the coin toss phase of the games! Why aren't the media covering that and only focusing on all the other phases of the game??! 😉
It's all narrative-driven. They media steers attention away from important things like coin-toss-ology and amplifies non-issues, like winning football games. ;-)
I think they're all just rooting for Chris and Shane to fail by ignoring that they're 3-0 with coin tosses after only 2 games. I don't know how things went down in that other OT game, but the Colts are really taking things seriously on this front.
Did you see how confident we were on deferring the kickoff in OT despite how many people (the ref even!!! Yet more proof the refs favor KC!!) kept trying to get them to be distracted from their assignment? We had planned for all possibilities and you could tell they were up there with confidence in what they needed to do. Good stuff!!!
I have one to add to your list, Bob. Why are we allowing Jones to do QB sneak’s especially when we know he has a track record of not being able to finish seasons due to health. This is a perfect time to allow AR5 to have a package and get us a yard? Saw it in the stinker of an opener and repeated again in this agonizing game.
No question that Buckner remains a star player. Sauce, not so sure… I recall one good play (his one handed attempted INT), and one not so good play when he was running well behind a wide open crossing receiver. I’m no expert at this, so please explain what Sauce has done since he arrived here that’s worthy of star accolades. I fear that it’s his past reputation rather than his current performance.
This still all feels like a lot of first two week doom and gloom but overall Bob, I’m with you on most of your assessment. How can you not be more concerned about Anarumo? He was a disaster with his scheme’s in Cincinnati and he’s equally bad if not worse in Indianapolis. That said, the Colts are 0-2 which is right where I bet 80% of Colts fans thought they would be given how the schedule Gods lined up two of the better teams in the league to start the season against the Colts. Bottom line is the games against the division will tell the bigger story for this team. Sucks to be 0-2 for sure but it’s not a surprise….
