Allen is hurt, that's not his fault. It's Ballard who is constantly drafting players who are injury prone or already hurt when he drafts them. Why on earth is Ballard still here?
Excellent assessment of a team unable to find its path, Bob. I admit to be a diehard Colts/Hoosiers guy. Still trying to process why our Colts couldn't find a reason to draft even one IU player from an undefeated National Championship team even though multiples were drafted by other teams in both high and even lower rounds. At least would have given fans more reason to watch their games. Even saw today that undrafted IU OL Kalill Benson played a strong role for the Chiefs last weekend. Past time to cut ties with current head coach and GM!
The other Colts action that I am trying to wrap my brain around is the Sauce Gardner trade last year in their effort to "win now". Not one, but TWO, first round draft picks is what a team might trade in an effort to acquire a talent of the level of a Peyton Manning or Tom Brady in the their prime years, not a defensive back. Gardner has yet to show any reason that he was worth the incredibly sacrificial price tag.
Given the number of second-round draft busts, the issues with AR, and the struggles to draft quality edge rushers over the years, was Ryan Grigson actually more successful as GM than Chris Ballard?

Here’s a question rather than a comment-

Yes, by a mile. It’s not even close
I think so as well. I always respect your opinion and appreciate that you answered my question. Thanks.
